HP Hump Day Drabbles

hp_humpdrabbles is a Harry Potter drabble community that only posts on Wednesdays. Our goal is to provide a single 'Hump Day' offering of racy, suggestive, naughty and saucy drabbles that are centered around the Harry Potter fandom.

What is a drabble? A drabble is an extremely short work of fiction exactly one hundred words in length, although the term is often used to indicate a short story of fewer than 1000 words. The purpose of the drabble is brevity and to test the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in an extremely confined space.

Rules
Submission Guidelines

1. All drabbles must be between 100-500 words.

2. All drabbles should have at least a PG-13 rating, or higher.

3. All drabbles must have at least one canon Harry Potter character. There may be characters from other fandoms.

4. All drabbles must be submitted by midnight EST every Tuesday. Any submissions received after the deadline will be not be used until the following Wednesday's post.

5. Drabbles should be emailed to HPHumpDrabbles@gmail.com. Drabbles that are not sent to the community email will not be posted. It is preferred that all drabbles be in the body of the email, but .doc, .docx and .txt formats are accepted attachments.

6. Every submission should include the following information: Author's Name/LiveJournal Username, Rating (PG-13, R or NC-17), Word Count and Character(s). If there are characters from other fandoms represented, please include what those fandoms are as well.

7. Every submission should be properly formatted for the web. If you want parts of your work italicized or bolded, then you should figure out the proper HTML tags to make that happen.

8. Please check your drabble for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting. You are responsible for proper spelling and capitalization of Potter Words.

potterwords is a good resource to double check your work. Formatting should also be standard (ie., spaces between paragraphs, etc).

9. All drabbles will be posted together by one of the moderators on Wednesdays. Please wait to post your drabbles elsewhere until after they've been posted on hump day to the community.

10. Moderator discretion will be used for drabbles of a questionable nature, and we reserve the right to post or not post as we see fit. They will be judged on a case by case basis. No incest, bestiality, rape or pedophilia (in Britain, the age of consent is 16) will be posted.

11. In order to submit a drabble for posting, participants must have a statement of age on their journal profile.
